As of June 24th, China’s key monitoring ports have completed cargo throughput of 5.56 billion tons and container throughput of 124 million TEUs this year, up by 0.9% and 2.3% respectively. In view of the problems found in the special inspection in the State Council, a second-level supervision letter was issued to nine provinces, warning notices were publicly issued, and unannounced inspections were organized, urging and guiding all localities to strictly implement the requirements for truck drivers not to persuade them to return, not to wait for testing, not to repeat nucleic acid testing, and not to overweight policies.

Cai Tuanjie said that the Ministry of Transport has given full play to the role of the Office of the Leading Group for Logistics Guarantee and Smooth Work in the State Council, and actively promoted the implementation of relevant policies with the departments of finance, taxation, finance and social security, especially the policies of VAT refund, exemption from small-scale taxpayers’ VAT, and deferred repayment of principal and interest on truck loans, so as to reduce the operating pressure of logistics enterprises and individual drivers.
