Guo Degang introduced that the 2023 Chengdu Biennale and the dance drama "Giant Panda" are large-scale art exhibitions and performances specially for the Universiade.
Biennale is an international art exhibition form. In 2021, two high-standard art galleries in Tianfu Art Park were built, and the opening exhibition 2021 Chengdu Biennale was held, which won wide acclaim at home and abroad. Chengdu Biennale 2023 focuses on the Universiade, an important event in Chengdu this year. With the theme of "Youth Universiade Art Chengdu" and the theme of "Time Gravitation", it will open at Chengdu Art Museum in Chengdu Tianfu Art Park on July 16th, 2023, and will last until the end of November. At present, the preparatory work is progressing smoothly. 241 artists from 26 countries (regions) have accepted the invitation and have decided to exhibit 489 groups/pieces of works, which cover contemporary art forms such as painting, sculpture, video and installation. The participating artists are not only famous domestic artists such as Sui Jianguo, Bing Xu and Zhou Chunya, but also internationally famous artists such as Hockney: A Life In Pictures and Jin Yunzhe. This Biennale focuses on highlighting the characteristics of the Universiade of Youth, and will display the works of a group of outstanding young artists, so that the beauty of youth and sports can meet the beauty of art and creativity.

The play was jointly produced by the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Television Tourism and chenghua district, and produced by Chengdu Art Theatre Co., Ltd., and the main creative team consisted of outstanding domestic creators such as Chen Feihua and Zhang Jiwen. From the perspective of caring for life, the dance drama Giant Panda tells the story of the protagonist "Baizhang", who has a dream and goes to rivers and mountains to pursue his dream. With "love" as the main thread, the whole drama weaves a spiritual bond that connects all things in the world, reflecting the relationship between life and nature. After more than 400 days of creative rehearsal, the dance drama "Giant Panda" has now entered the final sprint stage and will be officially performed in the City Concert Hall on the eve of the opening of the Universiade on July 26th.

The first stage: rhythmic youth-primary and secondary school students "move". Since March, the city’s primary and secondary schools have carried out campus rhythmic gymnastics activities in combination with the existing rhythmic gymnastics routines, taking advantage of physical education class and recess, and participated in more than 2.1 million primary and secondary school students.

One is the concept of education. Adhere to health first, face all students, serve all-round development, adhere to the combination of in-class and extracurricular, popularization and improvement, and exercise and health.
The second is the curriculum. Start a good physical education class and implement "one hour of exercise every day".
The third is the teaching arrangement. Deepen the teaching reform of "health knowledge+basic sports skills+special sports skills" to help each student master at least 1-2 sports skills that will benefit him for life and enjoy sports.
The fourth is the event activities. Establish a student competition system covering all school-age segments, and regularly organize student sports meetings, championships, sports conferences, etc.
The fifth is the evaluation mechanism.
